At Sinclair & Rush, we’ve been working hard to make our production methods more environmentally friendly. We are currently testing a range of innovative solutions for sustainable packaging and exploring ways to significantly reduce our waste.
Finding More Sustainable Solutions to Product Packaging
We’re excited to be developing more sustainable options for our product packaging. One key area of focus is the development of protective netting with a biodegradable additive, designed to break down more quickly and more easily than traditional plastics. In addition, we’re investigating the potential of working with fully compostable materials, which we plan to trial in the coming months. We’re looking forward to collaborating with new material suppliers and testing these solutions with some of our leading clients who are eager to move towards more eco-conscious packaging.
How We're Working to Reduce Waste
Alongside packaging improvements, we’re also focused on minimising waste. One of the most promising advancements is the introduction of our new Pelletiser line, which processes re-ground waste material—specifically PETG from our clear plastic tubes—and converts it back into usable plastic pellets. These recycled pellets are blended with virgin materials to manufacture new products. The process is closely monitored to ensure quality, clarity, and strength remain uncompromised. The introduction of the Pelletiser line allows us to reuse previously unusable waste, dramatically reducing our overall waste output.
Sustainability remains at the heart of our innovation efforts, and we’re committed to making continuous improvements that support a greener future.
